CITYNEON INVESTS S$45 THOUSAND IN SUPPORT OF SINGAPORE'S YOG
BID
Singapore, 1 February
2008 -
Singapore is on the homestretch in the race for the honour of
being the host city of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in 2010. To date, about 500 businesses and local
communities have and continue to rally behind the nation’s bid effort and more
are coming forward each day.
Cityneon is one such company which is pitching in to show and shore up
support for Singapore’s bid.

of Singapore’s bid,
Cityneon launched today, Friday
1st February
2008, at
Singapore’s Visitor’s
Centre four of the 29 life-sized landscape art pieces. Along with these
landscape art pieces, Cityneon announced that it will be erecting a billboard at
each of the seven locations. Locations include areas along the Singapore
Visitors Centre @ Orchard, East
Coast
Park,
Hill
Street, Le
Meridien, Tampines Block 148, Bras Basah (grassland opposite Rendezvous Hotel)
and OUB Centre.
Singaporeans
can expect to see Cityneon’s landscape art pieces and billboards over the next
couple of days, as workers begin installation at the seven venues from today
till Monday,
4th February
2008.
The 29
landscape art pieces will be representing some of the Olympic Games such as
Table Tennis, Badminton, Swimming, Gymnastics, Soccer, Shooting, Track and Field
and Cycling. Cityneon will be investing approximately S$45 thousand in its
promotional campaign that will run till late February 2008.
As the
official sponsor for the landscape art pieces, Cityneon’s Group Managing
Director, Mr. Ko Chee Wah adds that “Cityneon is thrilled to be doing its part
in showing support for the Youth Olympic Games. We want
Singapore to win as
host city come 2010.”
