CENTRE-BASED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME FOR CHILDCARE (CFAC)

Childcare centres provide care for your child while you are working. A well-structured childcare programme also helps your child learn and grow. If you need to place your child in a childcare centre but have difficulties paying the fees, you may apply for help under CFAC.

What CFAC Provides

CFAC provides a subsidy for your child's childcare fee every month, up to the maximum amount shown in the table below. This subsidy is given in addition to the government childcare subsidy.

A one-off assistance (Start-Up Grant) to meet the start-up costs of placing your child in a childcare centre may also be provided.

Who Can Apply

Children who are Singapore citizens. Children who are permanent residents of Singapore (PR) can apply if at least one member of their immediate family is a Singapore citizen; Children who are below 7 years old and attending a licensed child care centre; Children who are of the first, second, third or fourth birth order; Children whose family's monthly income is $1,800 and below; and Children whose mothers are working.
