Centre-based Financial Assistance Scheme for Child Care (CFAC)

Child care centres provide care for your child while you are working. A well-structured child care programme also helps your child learn and grow. If you need to place your child in a child care centre but have difficulties paying the fees, you may apply for help under CFAC.

What CFAC Provides

  • CFAC provides a subsidy for your child's child care fee every month, up to the maximum amount shown in the table below. This subsidy is given in addition to the universal government child care subsidy.

Current Maximum CFAC Subsidies:

Monthly Household Income Maximum CFAC subsidy per month for each child
Less than or equal to $1,000 Up to $340
$1,001 - $1,500 Up to $300
$1,501 - $1,800 Up to $200

Start-up Grant

A start-up grant of up to $1,000 per child may be provided, to help families pay for their child's deposit, registration fee, uniforms and insurance.

Where to Apply

If you need the assistance, you may apply for CFAC at the child care centre where your child is enrolled.
