| SELF-RELIANCE PROGRAMME (SReP) |
| If you and your family need assistance to tide over a difficult period, you may be able to get help from the Self-Reliance Programme. This programme provides targeted short-term assistance to help families sort out their family issues and be self-sufficient. |

| What SReP Provides: |
Depending on the needs of the family, one or more of the following types of assistance may be provided:
- Rental, utilities and service & conservancy vouchers;
- Monthly cash grant to meet basic needs;
- Children’s educational assistance; and/or
- Medical assistance.

| Who Can Apply |
- The applicant must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident of Singapore (PR). If the applicant is a PR, then at least one of the immediate family members must be a Singapore citizen.
- The family must also satisfy the following criteria
- The main breadwinner and other adult family members are not able to work;
- The family has weak support network; and
- The family has limited or no savings.
The Community Development Council (CDC) will assess your application to determine if you qualify for help under the Self-Reliance Programme.

| Obligations under the Scheme |
| Those placed on the Programme must be committed to attend counselling and casework sessions with a social service agency arranged by the CDC. |
