Work Assistance Programme (WAP)

If you are out of job and need some help looking for a new job, you may get help under WAP.

What WAP Provides

Depending on the needs of the family, one or more of the following types of assistance may be provided. WAP assistance will be provided for up to 3 months. The exact type and amount of assistance will be based on the needs of your family.

Possible Benefits

  • Job placement services
  • Case management services
  • Monthly cash grant
  • Educational assistance for children
  • Grant to help with utilities and service & conservancy charges

Who Can Apply

  • The applicant must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident of Singapore (PR). If the applicant is a PR, then at least one immediate family member must be a Singapore citizen;
  • The applicant must be unemployed and medically fit for work; and
  • The family's monthly household income should be below $1,500.

The Community Development Council (CDC) will assess your application to determine if you qualify for help under WAP.
